A promising offensive line

A promising offensive line

Ángel Villacampa has a quite flexible lineup at the moment which finds goals easily

The first ladies team of Athletic Club is going through a very good run, the best of this season. The goals scored in a quite difficult stadium like the one of Vallecas and the victory against EDF Logroño, one of the promises and insights of Primera Iberdrola, have ranked the red-and-white team fifth, very close to the leaders. In the last two matches, Athletic Club has achieved 7 goals and only conceded one. The offensive line is working very well and has proven to score goals easily.

Ane Azkona, scored against the team from Logroño, passed the ball quickly so that Marta Unzué shot to the net and scored for the first time as scorer midfielder. In addition to Azkona and Unzué, Lucía García scored another goal last Saturday. The international striker scored three goals, just like Azkona. The two of them are the main scorers so far.

Erika Vázquez and Yulema Corres, recovered from their injuries, are already helping at their offensive positions. The head of the team got back after two months off. Yulema, scored against Rayo Vallecano her first goal of the season. She also played during the last minutes of the clash against EDF. It is Nekane Díez the one who is taking more time to find her place and vibes, after her injury in the first round. Leia Zarate and even Amaiur Sarriegi, the “pichichi” and scorer of the subsidiary team with 8 goals, do also help at the scoring line. Others like Oihane Valdezate, Damaris Egurrola, María Díaz, Marta Perea and Garazi Murua have scored too.
