Garitano: “We’re in a good mood”

“We ́re in a good mood and you can ́t lose that even if you lose a game. We have to keep up the good times we were in and win again like we were doing before last Sunday”. Gaizka Garitano has shown the good mood of Athletic Club before tomorrow’s derby in San Mamés against SD Eibar (18:30 h) despite last weekend’s defeat in Seville against Betis.

The red and white coach expects “an intense match, with many challenges…. With the type of game that forces you to do the Eibar. We need to be ready“. Garitano analysed the rival, his former team: “They are not influenced by having lost the last four matches. They have it very clear, they know what they have to do. They press very high and make it very difficult to get the ball out, they know how to make the match uncomfortable for the opponent. We will have to defend their wings well, their ball stopped … because tomorrow with the line-up they launch, you have to be very careful with them.”

Garitano has also highlighted the level of the league competition, which will live its last game of 2019 in the Cathedral: “We want to win and end the year well and give another joy to the fans, but we know the difficulty of all games at First Division. It is not easy to be in the top of LaLiga and it is clearly the highest level in Europe as it is being demonstrated. Every game is complicated no matter who is your rival”.
