Vencedor, fourth player to make his debut this season

Unai Vencedor, who will be a starter in the match against Osasuna, is the fourth player to make his first-team debut under Gaizka Garitano’s management this season. His debut joins the ones made by goalkeeper Jokin Ezkieta, who played his first game against Tenerife in the Copa; Gaizka Larrazabal, who did it on the road against Getafe in LaLiga; and Oihan Sancet, who was given some minutes to defend the red-and-white shirt during Athletic’s first league match against FC Barcelona, which was won by the Red and Whites.

In the current season, in a Bilbao Athletic under the management of Joseba Etxeberria, Unai Vencedor has played 23 matches and scored three goals, all of them from brilliantly taken shots from outside the box: two free kicks and the third with a rehearsed corner kick.

Vencedor (born in November), together with Sancet, have become the first two red-and-white players born after the year 2000.
