Nevado, first minutes of the season

The red-and-white defender became the third player of the subsidiary team – after Sarriegi and Oguiza- that played with the first team this season

Last Sunday, Nerea Nevado played her first minutes within the first team during the derby against Real Sociedad. Hence, the defender of the subsidiary team became the third player from Iraia Iturregi ́s team that took part at Primera Iberdrola this season, right after Amaiur Sarriegi and Irene Oguiza. The player from Santurtzi has been called by the Spanish national U-19 along with other red-and-white players, Naroa Uriarte and Paula Arana. The three young players won the U-17 World Cup celebrated in Uruguay in 2018. Nevado played with the first team for the first time in the last season and she took part in five different clashes, scoring a goal in the match away from home against Fundación Albacete. The goal let the lions won the clash by 0-1.

While the first team has some sick leaves, the players of Reto Iberdrola have supported the first team throughout the season. Nerea Nevado took part in the pre-season with Villacampa, with Amaiur Sarriegi, Leyre Monente, Naroa Uriarte and Mariana Cerro. Now, she is following Oguiza and Sarriegi – that also debuted in the Copa match against UDG Tenerife- that already played in official championships.

In addition, Naroa Uriarte, Paula Arana and Mariana Cerro, despite not having played yet in the elite, they are regularly training with the first team. The players of Iturregi are leaders at Reto Iberdrola Norte with Amaiur and Arana as the greatest goalscorers, with 12 and 8 goals respectively.
