Red-and-white family joined the #WorldHealthDay

Different Athletic Club fan clubs around the world are strengthening their ties in the midst of the fight against covid-19

Coronavirus knows no boundaries; neither does Athletic Club. That is why the red-and-white family is joining forces on World Health Day, today, April 7, the date on which the World Health Organisation (WHO) was founded. The health crisis must bring out the best in each society and our friends, supporters and red-and-white members in the different international clubs are also experiencing confinement in an attempt to stop the pandemic.

From far away Japan, Akira and his little girl Chihiro (song and drawing included) send us strength from the Peña Athletic Tokiotarrak. In the United States, from San Francisco, the Mcinerney-Etcharren family (Asier, Gorka and Evelyne) send all their support on behalf of the Peña Athletic Club of California. Also from North America, where the virus is in full expansion, from Boise in Idaho they insist on the importance of staying at home. A good example is that of Henar who greets Argia and her three children by video call: Iñaki, Itxaso and Izar.

On the other side of the ocean, Emiliano from Pavia, is the one who has not been able to leave the house for the longest time. The president of the Peña Leones Italianos-Italiako Lehoiak calls for serenity to get through these difficult times. In London, Alvaro, one of the members of the Mr. Pentland Club makes it clear that unity and responsibility will lead us to a victory against this challenge.

They are just some examples of some of the thousands of red-and-white supporters around the world who are also suffering the harshness of this crisis. We have sung, cried and vibrated thanks to Athletic Club. We are all going to get through this together.
