San Mamés lights up for Worldwide Cystic Fibrosis day

Athletic Club participated in this international day of recognition to shed light on the situation of those who suffer with the condition

Athletic Club participated in Worldwide Cystic Fibrosis Day by illuminating San Mamés. Seven years ago, Cystic Fibrosis Worldwide designated September 8 as a day of recognition for this hereditary illness, and Athletic Club has joined the cause.

The degenerative illness primarily affects the digestive and respiratory systems, producing infections in the lungs, liver and pancreas. Despite the notable medical advancements that have been made in terms of treating the condition, there still is no cure, severely affecting patients’ health and quality of life.
