Athletic Club has signed a strategic innovation agreement with the City of Jyväskylä and the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Jyväskylä. The main objective is to create a framework for sharing knowledge and identifying projects in the field of sport, health, and new relating technologies.
This collaboration is based on the development of joint projects and research which will focus on the optimization of physical-sport performance, as well as the management of risk factors causing injury in football, for both men and women athletes.
Through studies based on biomechanics and exercise physiology parameters, prevention interventions will be promoted in relation to football related injuries. Furthermore, implementing new technologies that can be applied to football is a strategic aspect binding together sport performance and injury prevention.
In addition, this agreement will also establish a connection with the Hippos venue, which will create one of the largest high-performance sports centres in Europe.
