DIGI, new official sponsor

DIGI, the telecommunications operator of multi-national company DIGI Communications, is to become an official sponsor of Athletic Club after signing an agreement with the Club for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

The operator's logo will now be displayed on the back of first-team strips, starting on Sunday with the Copa match against UD Alzira. It will also be visible on the training kits.

Through this agreement, DIGI has committed itself to both Athletic Club and all its supporters, saying this is "a historic club with which we idenitfy because of all the values we share, such as effort, self-improvement and teamwork".

DIGI has a strong presence in Biscay, where it has a branch office with more than 100 employees and deploys its own fibre network, Fibra SMART, the fastest residential fibre service in Spain, and PRO-DIGI, with up to 10 Gbps speed.

Revenue plan
In accordance with one of its main objectives and requirements, namely increasing operating income, Athletic Club has set in motion an initial plan of action to attract interest in sponsorship from different companies.

As a consequence, the Club has established contacts with companies from different fields, among which DIGI stood out, showing a firm commitment to the principles embodied by Athletic Club, our territory and our society.

DIGI is a rapidly expanding business that belongs to RCS&RDS, one of the largest operators in Europe, with a foothold in Romania, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium as well as a developing service in Portugal.

Sponsorship income has transformed in recent years, in the same way the sector has evolved, from a fixed or static character to a very dynamic relationship in complete harmony with the club being sponsored, and this is the relationship model that both Athletic Club and DIGI want to pursue together.
