Athletic Club vs Chivas de Guadalajara: Practical Information

Relevant information for anybody attending Athletic vs Chivas at San Mamés on Sunday evening (19:00 CET)

This Sunday at 19:00, San Mamés hosts the first leg of the Tree of Gernika friendly tournament between Athletic Club and Chivas de Guadalajara. Below there is some useful information for all those attending the match at The Cathedral.

Stadium access

The gates will open at 17:30. Please try to arrive ahead of time so you can speed up your entry into the stadium, avoid last-minute crowds and enjoy the start of the match.. 

Enter with numbered ticket

Entry to San Mamés will only be possible with a numbered ticket. For this match, neither the membership card (physical or digital) nor the Gazte Abonoa code will be valid.

If you are a Member and have not yet done so, you can purchase a ticket for €13 in this link. You just have to enter your membership code and pin into the box that says "MEMBER"

Ticket sales

The San Mamés ticket office, located between Gates 6 & 7 at the stadium, will be open during the following times:

•    Saturday December 10: 10:30-13:30 and 17:30-20:00.
•    Sunday December 11: 10:30-13:00 and from 16:30 onwards

San Mamés store opening hours

The official shop (located between Gates 26 and 0 at San Mamés) will be open non-stop from 10:00 to 21:30

Restaurants and bars

Come to Geuria!, the sportsbar located between Gates 13 and 14 at San Mamés. From 12:00 onwards, you can enjoy a wide and varied menu at The Cathedral’s in-built bar before watching the game on giant screens. 

Bar La Campa de los Ingleses will be serving breakfast, brunch and weekend set-menus, as well as their assortment of pintxos, from 10:00-16:45.

The Restaurant San Mames Jatetxea will be open from 13:30 to 16:30 with a special Basque-Mexican fusion menu. Fernando Canales, chef at San Mames Jatetxea, and Javier Cubero, owner of the restaurant Agavero (Mazarredo 65, opposite the Athletic shop in front of the Guggenheim) and pioneer of Mexican food in Bilbao, will prepare a mouth-watering menu mixing flavours and aromas of Biscayan and Mexican cuisine..

AC Museum and San Mames Tour 

The Athletic Club Museum (next to Gate 20) will be open from 10:00 until 17:00. However, with it being a match day, the San Mames Tour will only be available until 14:00.
