Ander Iruarrizaga will leave Athletic Club when his contract expires on June 30. Ander joined Lezama as an under-11, and was Ernesto Valverde's third-choice keeper for the first team this season. All five of his senior appearances came in friendlies, including the match against Newcastle at St James' Park and the final of the Basque Cup against Real Sociedad.
The 24-year-old also played a total of 28 games for Bilbao Athletic. His first call-up to the senior squad was a for a Copa tie against Sestao River at Las Llanas, under then manager Gaizka Garitano.
Athletic Club wishes Ander all the best of luck in this next chapter, and would like to thank him for his dedication and professionalism throughout all these years.
