This is how Granada vs Athletic will restart

Granada CF vs Athletic Club, our LaLiga Matchday 16 fixture, which was abandoned on Sunday evening due to the death of a Granada fan in the stands, will resume this Monday at 21:00 to play the remaining 73 minutes of the game.

The match will restart on 17 minutes, the point at which the referee stopped play due to the medical emergency in the stands at Los Cármenes that led to the suspension of the match.

In tonight's resumption of the match, Alexander Medina and Ernesto Valverde, respective coaches of Granada CF and Athletic Club, will be able to field any player who was registered in Sunday's initial matchday squad, whether they took part in the first 17 minutes or not.

RFEF article no.242, which deals with "selection of players in suspended matches", establishes that:

1. In the event that a match already under way is called off and must be continued on a new date, only those players who were registered with the club on the day the match was interrupted, whether or not they took part in the period played may be fielded in the continuation, unless they had been substituted or suspended by the competition body as a result of that match, with the exception of those who received a suspension due to an accumulation of bookings resulting from the last caution given in the interrupted match.
