Athletic Plaza returns for the Basque Derby

There will be a new edition of Athletic Plaza before the Basque Derby between Athletic Club and Real Sociedad. From 11:00 CET* until 17:30, the San Mames concourse will turn into fan zone, with food trucks, pop-up bars and concerts.

This initiative was born with the aim of creating a space for all Athleticzales to come together on match days, fostering a sense of belonging to a unique club in the world and helping to promote Basque culture.

The fan zone will include a children's area with different fun activities such as bouncy castles, dribbling challenges, human table football, badge workshops and face painting, as well as a video games zone.

Furthermore, from 12:00 to 13:30, the main stage will host a musical show for dancing aimed at children.

From 13:30 to 15:00, we'll have a brass band, while at the same time, a DJ will play tunes on the San Miguel Stage. At 15:00, a local group will perform Basque classics until 17:30.

At 16:00, bertsolaris Angel Peñagarikano and Andoni Egaña, who will take part in the traditional Bertsoderbia in Amorebieta in the morning, will delight the fans with a short session of improvised poetry. At its conclusion, the Basque classic will contine until 17:30. 

Throughout the day there will be more giveaways and other surprises.
