Jone Amezaga extends Athletic Club contract until 2027
The forward, who scored six times in 2023/24, adds three more years to her deal
Athletic Club Women forward Jone Amezaga has renewed her contract until 30 June 2027. The 19-year-old, who scored six goals in 2023/24, has extended her deal by three years.
Jone's new agreement, which she signed on yesterday evening at San Mames alongside club president Jon Uriarte and director of women's football Xabi Arrieta, was officially announced on this morning at the stadium's inbuilt sports bar, 'Geuria!'.
Amezaga has completed her second season at Athletic and, although stiff competition for places meant she played less than last year, she did score a goal more this time around.
Jone has scored 11 times in 54 appearances as a Lioness, an average of one goal every five matches. The most recent strike came against Sevilla FC in the season ender at San Mames.
