Athletic Club to take part in Premier League International Cup again
The Zurigorri are in a group with Sunderland AFC, West Ham United FC, Blackburn Rovers FC and Middlesbrough FC
Athletic Club will once against participate in the Premier League International Cup, an under-21s football tournament. Athletic's first match will see them take on Sunderland AFC on Wednesday, September 11.
Our other opponents are West Ham United (October 2), Blackburn Rovers (November 13) and Middlesbrough FC (January 14).
Only players born on or after 1 January 2003 can take part in the competition (in addition to one overage goalkeeper and three overage outfield players). The other non-English clubs in Athletic Club's group, whom we won't play in the group stages, are Borussia Monchengladbach, Olympique Lyon and SL Benfica.
