Athletic will take 18 players, mostly from the reserves, to play at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday
Athletic Club will make their first appearance in the 2024/25 Premier League International Cup this Wednesday with a visit to Sunderland AFC.
Led by Bilbao Athletic coach Jokin Aranbarri, 18 players will travel to northeast England, mostly from the reserve team.
The match will take place at 19:00 BST at the Stadium of Light, the ground where the English club's senior team, current leaders of the Championship, normally play.
The squad includes Mikel Santos, Gamen, Irurita, Osipov, Ebro, De Luis, Elias, Iker Monreal, Rego, Eneko Aguilar, Canales, Ibon Sanchez, Sola, Varela, Ibai Sanz, Azkune, Hierro and Gift.
