We saw out the season with almost 17 million followers and close to 100 million interactions, being the 4th club with the highest engagement per user

The 2024/25 season saw Athletic Club take a leap forward in its digital positioning. In a great year on the pitch, full of high-value content for Athleticzales, our official channels experienced strong growth in all their metrics, consolidating the club as one of LaLiga's leaders in digital communication.

With a total engagement of 96,584,240 interactions, Athletic's figures improved by 27% compared to the previous campaign (76 million in 2023/24), placing us as the fifth LaLiga club in this ranking, only behind FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid and Real Betis.

Furthermore, when measuring engagement per follower, Athletic rose to fourth position, surpassing teams with a larger digital community such as Atlético de Madrid.

The audiovisual impact has also been remarkable. During this season, 1,133,457,093 video views have been registered, which is an increase of 48% compared to the 763 million in the 2023/24 season.

These figures reaffirm Athletic as the fifth club with the most video views in all of LaLiga, repeating its presence in the national top-5.

In terms of followers, Athletic's digital community has grown to 16,701,629 users as of 30 June 2025, which represents an increase of 38% compared to the 12.1 million at the end of the previous year.

One of the most important new features of this era has been the consolidation of the club's official channel on Whatsapp, launched in October 2023. This new, direct and reliable means of communication with the fans has already reached 212,588 subscribers, increasing the club's capacity to communicate with its fanbase.

This digital advance is the result of a solid communication strategy that seeks to offer exciting and attractive content that connects with the Athleticzales around the world, reinforcing the link between the club and its people through proximity, transparency and pride in the Red and White colours.
