Joao Pinto

João Pinto is the eighth winner of the One-Club Man Award. With 587 games in 16 seasons, no other FC Porto player has made more appearances for the "Azuis e Brancos" (Blue and Whites) in their almost 130-year-long history. The legendary international defender is the perfect embodiment of those footballers who combine professionalism with a love for their club. Pinto put together an impressive trophy cabinet during a playing career that lasted from 1980 until 1997, even leading his side to the 1987 European Cup. He will receive the accolade at San Mames during the match between Athletic Club and Getafe CF on Wednesday, 27 September 2023.
