Garathuz Project

Garathuz Project

at Athletic Club football is more than just football

Garathuz Project

The Garathuz Project represents the holistic vision of football we have at our Club: a youth project that seeks, not only to train players in excellence and high sporting performance, but also to foster a team of committed individuals with values, culture, and a solid education.

It is without a doubt an innovative example in the world of grassroots sports, where success is measured not only by the number of goals scored, but in personal progress and community impact.

In addition to technique and tactics, it cultivates the personal, community, and academic growth of the youth team.

It seeks to empower conscious, responsible players who are connected to their environment.

Why?

Training People: Garathuz is committed to developing players as athletes, taking into account training beyond the sporting aspects, starting from the youth academy.

Development Tools: An aim to anticipate the different contexts and realities that our players will face.

Athletic´s Values: Promoting a sense of belonging, responsibility, equality and social awareness, reflecting the club's philosophy.

Sustainable Development Objectives: In line with Agenda 2030, it strengthens SDG 4 (quality education) and SDG 5 (gender equality)
