Joelle Murray (Chirnside, Scotland. 1986) is our 2025 One Club Woman. With this award, Athletic Club aims to pay tribute to her extraordinary and successful career as a defender for Hibernian FC, where she played 507 matches between 2004 and 2024, in addition to winning the SWPL twice, the Scottish Cup seven times and the League Cup five times, as well as making 48 appearances for the Scottish national team. She will receive the award at San Mamés alongside Jamie Carragher, the One Club Man 2025, during the match against Girona on 23 September. 

Born and raised in the small town of Chirnside, located in in south-east Scotland near the border, Joelle first started playing football for a boys' team in her hometown.

At the age of 12, she joined the Hibs' youth academy and climbed up through the ranks until making her first-team debut in 2004. It was the start of a prolific career at Hibs, where she made 507 appearances over 20 years.

A key figure in the professionalisation of women's football at her club, she won the Scottish Women's Premier League twice, the Scottish Cup seven times and the Scottish League Cup five tiesm. She retired at the age of 37 and is still involved with the club, combining roles as the women's first-team's assistant manager and as their academy's junior development manager.

Her prolific career made her an icon of Scottish football. She earned 48 caps for the national team, taking part in Euro 2017 and World Cup 2019 - the Scottish women's team's first two appearances in major international tournaments.
