In spite of playing six matches without losing the red and whites drew in San Mames and were not able to slot a goal past Bizzarri. In spite of everything, the objective of playing in Europe is still viable after seeing the other results on Sunday. In the first half the two clearest occasions were for the Athletic Club with a shot from Ezquerro which Bizzarri stopped with his body and a dribble by Joseba Etxeberria and then a wide shot. In the second half Aranzubia made a great save from Aganzo and the referee did not blow on an obvious penalty against Urzaiz and the man from Tudela was not able to put in a goal after Tiko took a free kick in the final moments of the game. We would like to mention that the injury received by Lacruz after a tackle by Peña will be explained on Sunday. The players remembered Gurpegi before the match started.
