Presentation of the new shirt model for UEFA

The presentation of the model for the new shirt that Athletic Club will use in the 2004-05 UEFA Cup was carried out on Monday, 14 June, at 12:00 hours at Bilbao’s Fine Arts Bilbao.

The act was lead by Javier Viar (Director of the Museum) Ignacio Ugartetxe (President) Jose Angel Iribar (associate to the president) and Dario Urzay, painter and designer of the new shirt. Among others, the following have taken part in the act, Jose Luis Bilbao, General Deputy of Bizkaia; most of the members of Athletic Club’s board of directors, Sports Director, Andoni Zubizarreta; Laurentzi Gana, President of Basque Football Federation; Iñaki Mujika, Regional Sports Deputy; Jose Maria Bañales, President of the FVF; Ricardo Martín, Director of the Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation; Ramon Santamaria, head of the Athletic Club mark; representatives of Foundation member companies and former players of the organization such as Uriarte, Sarabia and Dani.

Bringing together art and an Athletic Club personality, today we have been able to verify yet another advantage to having committed members and our own mark, which make it possible to undertake this kind of projects. Athletic Club junior players Mikel Dañobeitia and Gontzal Perez served as improvised models.
