Ana Urquijo will head the expedition to Istanbul

The President of Athletic Club, Fernando Lamikiz, will not head the Club’s expedition that will depart for Istanbul on Tuesday, 2 November, to dispute the UEFA Cup match on Thursday, 4 November against Besiktas. The expedition will be headed by Vice-president Ana Urquijo.

The president will attend the meeting that the Professional Football League (LFP) will hold on Thursday, 4 November, in Madrid, which will have as main point on the agenda the possibility of enforcement of guarantees corresponding to the previous board of directors.

President Fernando Lamikiz considers his presence in said meeting a high-priority so that he can personally defend the interests of the organization. Lamikiz will present a report in which he pleads for the non-execution of the endorsements and, in fact, during the last few days he has maintained intense rounds of contact with all the clubs and sport joint-stock companies implied in the resolution to be adopted.
