Athletic Club and Jose Manuel Esnal ‘Mané’ have today reached an agreement by which the Biscayan coach will direct Athletic Club’s premier squad until the end of the current season, 2006-2007.

The rest of the technical staff will be composed by Angel Garitano ‘Ondarru’ (second trainer) Manuel Delgado (physical trainer) and Carlos Meléndez (goalkeeper trainer).

The head coach’s presentation will take place this Wednesday, 29 November, at 17:15 hours at the Ibaigane Press Room.

The premier team’s next training session will be this Wednesday, 29 November, at 10:30 hours in Lezama (Open to the Public).

Promoted Lleida to Primera División, he did so again with Alavés and this past season with Levante.

He’s classified for European competitions twice with Alavés, and was runner up in the UEFA Championship of 2001, after losing to Liverpool in injury time.
