Injured Players’ Condition

ROBERTO MARTÍNEZ RIPODAS “TIKO”: (Anterior cruciate ligament tear of the left knee). Continues with bike work and pool exercises, and undergoing physical therapy; progressing favourably.

USTARITZ ALDEKOAOTALORA ASTARLOA: (Myofibrillar tear of the femoral bicep muscle of his left leg). Increasing jogging time and has begun ball work; progressing favourably.

PABLO ORBAIZ LESAKA: (Anterior cruciate ligament tear of his right knee). He underwent double arthroplasty surgery at the Clínica USP in Gasteiz to repair the tear of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. Post-surgery recovery is normal and, if there are no complications, he’ll be sent home on Thursday, 28 December. He will begin rehabilitation on 2 January 2007.

IÑAKI LAFUENTE SANCHA: (Intraocular haemorrhage of the left eye). He’s undergone a new evaluation today, and has been prescribed one more week of rest. He will, therefore, begin rehabilitation on 3 January 2007.
