Visit to Nueva Condomina

Athletic Club board members, Iñaki Villanueva and Fede Arruti, as well as Secretary General Juan Ignacio Añibarro, have visited Nueva Condomina in Murcia on Friday, 2 March starting at 10:30 hours.

The Athletic Club delegation has valued this visit ‘positively’. In the words of board member Iñaki Villanueva, ‘the visit has completely met our expectations’. In his opinion, ‘we found a smaller ground than the previous ones, but that in many aspects surpasses the Germans in the solutions adopted. It shows that the opinion of all the different agents involved has counted in its construction’.

Villanueva emphasized ‘the short time to evacuate’ and the escape routes, the teams’ internal access all the way to the changing room area and internal paths of communication, putting special emphasis on the zone destined for the media; ‘it’s a very well designed area, with elevator access, that has all the infrastructure hidden out of sight and that like the rest of the ground has great visibility’.

As far as VIP boxes, 28 of the 32 available are occupied, with a capacity of nearly a dozen people, which would demonstrate the viability of such facilities as yet one more means of financing football grounds.

Likewise, this same delegation will travel on Thursday, 8 March, to England to visit the Emirates Stadium, home of the Arsenal.
