Villarreal-Athletic Club: Line-ups

Villarreal’s line up will be as follows: Viera; Javi Venta, Fuentes, Gonzalo, José Enrique; Cani, Tacchinardi, Josico, Pires; Guille Franco and Forlán. On the substitute’s bench will be Barbosa, Mati Fernández, Arruabarrena, Tomasson, Nihat, Q. Alvarez and Somoza.

Athletic Club’s starting line-up will be the following: Aranzubia; Javi González, Ustaritz, Sarriegi, Casas; Iraola, Javi Martínez, Murillo, Yeste; Aduriz and Etxeberria. On the substitutes’ bench will be Lafuente; Amorebieta, Tiko, Gabilondo, Zubiaurre, Urzaiz and Llorente. Garmendia has not been summoned.
Ramírez Domínguez will be the match referee, and will be assisted by Cantón and Caballero.

The rojiblancos have had a warm and spectacular welcome on their arrival to El Madrigal around 19:30 hours while being received by hundreds of Athletic fans who didn’t stop cheering, even when the team bus entered the field. The stands were not opened to the public until just past 20:00 and the field had been slightly sprinkled with water. The ruling heat during the day is disappearing and at kick off the temperature is expected to be good for play.
