The veterans defeat Tomelloso, 5-0

This Saturday, 16 June, at noon and in Lezama, Athletic Club’s Former Player Association disputed a friendly match against the veterans from Tomelloso (Ciudad Real), who will also be visiting our facilities and the Trophies and Exhibition Hall to later attend Sunday’s match to root for Athletic. The match initiative has been that of Physical Trainer Manuel Delgado Meco.

Playing for the rojiblancos will be Etxeberria, Larrazabal, Lizarralde, Estibariz, Luis Fernando, Joseba Agirre, Garai, Moska, Sada, Aiarza, Alkorta, Suances, Asier García and Ipiña. With them will be the President of AEJ, Jose Angel Iribar, and Board director Fernando Elguea, as well as Plácido Bilbao, Rafa Dehesa and Dani Ruiz-Bazán.

The match ended 5-0 and the goals were scored by Joseba Agirre (3), Lizarralde and Iñaki Garay, from a penalty.
