This Saturday, 26 January, a never-before-seen exposition on Pichichi will be presented at Athletic Club’s Trophy and Exhibition Hall (San Mamés, Gate 26)

In the new display case dedicated to Rafael Moreno, ‘Pichichi’, we can enjoy never-before-seen photographs and various objects from his time, some of which accompanied him in his lifetime. Sharing space in this exhibit are photographs, medals won by Pichichi during his sporting career (such as the first Copa title in 1914 and the Olympic silver medal obtained in Antwerp in 1920), his identification card expedited by the RFEF for being an international footballer, the poster of the tribute match observed four days after his death, and newspapers that gather the news of the death of the rojiblanco legend.

Besides the unquestionable historical value of the pieces shown, the main characteristic of this exhibition is the fact that it has been made possible thanks to some very enthusiastic rojiblanco fans who, unselfishly, want to share their memories with the rest of fans and followers. All the pieces in this display have been loaned or donated by individuals for the future Athletic Club Museum, which pleases us, especially for what it all means.

In this particular case the objects on display have been loaned or donated by Arantza/ Eli Zubizarreta, Elixabete / Silvia Echevarria, Conchita Cabieces, Fernando Etxebarria, Juan Miguel Moreno Lombardero, Elena Tuduri, Luken Vidal and Patxi Sesumaga.

To them, and everyone that has collaborated and cooperates with the rojiblanco Museum, a special thanks.
