Athletic Club’s First Division team were the stars of the toughest training session since the start of the pre-season campaign this morning. At 7:30 they made their way by bus to the golf course and a quarter of an hour later the goalkeepers had their own particular training session at the adjacent football field while the rest had to brace themselves for several series of demanding running exercises, almost two kilometres each time. Shortly afterwards they had to affront different uphill and downhill exercises before returning to the hotel for breakfast.

Just like on previous occasions, at 11:30 the team were divided into two groups for training at the gym and at the beach. In the evening from 19:00 hours onwards the scheduled training session on the football pitch was conducted, they used the two available pitches. Tactical ball exercises were done on both. On the usual pitch eleven against eight and the rest of the players trained on the second field.

President Fernando García Macua responded to all the questions from the press who had travelled to Isla Canela in the press conference room.
