Athletic Club Presentation – Video

On Tuesday, 29 July, Athletic Club’s First team for the 2008-2009 season was officially presented to the fans in San Mamés.

At 17:30 hours the squad held a training session opened to the public and at 20:00 hours the main presentation was celebrated with free admission.

Athletic Club wishes with this presentation, to promote the affective bond between the squad and its followers, highlighting the Club’s drafting policy, and insisting on the objectives for the season, which is to improve that which was achieved in the previous.

The first thing that our fans will see upon entering San Mamés, will be some marks on the ground made with fluorescent material and balls placed in an area of the field, that will indicate different towns from Euskal Herria. (2 from Bilbao, 1 from Legutiano, 1 from Eibar…)

With the position of the balls we will make reference to the greater differentiating fact of Athletic Club, which is its grassroots reserves philosophy; a unique reality in the international soccer panorama with enormous potential.

After coming out of the changing room tunnel, called out with the Athletic hymn, the players will go to their places of origin, marked by the balls.

They will be presented one by one and when they hear their name, they will leave their position and go to the area of Bilbao.

When all arrive simultaneously to the Bilbao circle, it will “light up” in a surprising way.
