Agreement with Umbro

Athletic Club President, Fernando Garcia Macua, and Umbro International Vice-President for the Football Division, Mr. Martin Prothero, enjoyed the Liga match between Athletic Club and Malaga CF from San Mamés’ Presidential Box.

Both organizations have signed an agreement, to be presented at the end of the current season 2008-2009, by which the British company will equip Athletic Club for at least the next 8 seasons.

Umbro, founded in 1924, is a football-specific brand present in over 100 countries all around the world.

They currently supply kits to, among others, national teams and football clubs such as: England, Norway, Sweden, Olympique Lyonnais (France), Santos (Brazil), Malaga C.F. (Spain), Independente (Argentina), CSKA (Russia), and up to 6 Premier League teams: Sunderland, Everton, West Bromwich, Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United, Hull City AFC.
