Llorente and Iraola, in Press Room

Fernando Llorente and Andoni Iraola have been Athletic Club players chosen to appear in the Lezama press room this Sunday, 1 March. Both are optimistic with respect to the outcome of the qualifying round against Sevilla. The forward said that it is possible to defeat Sevilla ‘as we demonstrated yesterday several times during the match’. He declared that he saw his teammates nearing the draw despite the fact that most of the referee’s decisions were against.

Iraola, on the other hand, speaks of ‘tremendous excitement’ in the changing rooms but he warns that they’ll have to play a great match in order to win; ‘Sevilla is very good, but we can win’. Asked about Unai Medina, the Baskonia player that was on the bench yesterday, he said that he has very good qualities.
