On Tuesday, 21 April, the Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation, represented by its president, Fernando Garcia Macua, has signed individual cooperation agreements with Arriaga Theatre and the Bilbaoarte Foundation (organizations dependent of the City of Bilbao’s Council for Cultural Affairs) for the development of joint ventures that favour cross-cultural interchange between the cultural and football communities.

Present at the signing ceremony have been Athletic Club and Foundation President, Fernando Garcia Macua, City of Bilbao’s Cultural Affairs Councilwoman, Ibone Bengoetxea, Arriaga Theatre Director, Jose Ignacio Malaina, Bilbaoarte Foundation Director, Javier Riaño, and the Foundation’s Activities Director, Galder Reguera.

With the signing of these two agreements, that already makes five the cultural institutions with which the Foundation has strengthened bonds with the objective of bringing the world of soccer closer to that of other cultural expressions, and vice versa. The other three organizations with which the Foundation maintains collaboration agreements at this time are Bizkaiko Ikastolen Elkartea, Bilbao’s Fine Arts Museum and the Deusto University’s Institute of Leisure Studies.
