Calling all kids with a creative vocation, you can win the best of a whole stack of prizes: to take your photos and write your chronicles alongside the San Mamés pitch.
The Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation, in collaboration with El Correo and sponsored by El Corte Inglés, present the ‘2nd Athletic Club Foundation-El Correo Children’s Sports Photography and Narrative Contest ‘. Any boy or girl from any part of the world can take part, as long as they were born between 1 January 1994 and 31 December 2001, individual kids or in pairs (in the case of reports made up of text and photos). The work can be sent either by email or ordinary mail, you have until 15 April.
Photos, texts or reports of a sporting nature, any sport or experience and not necessarily about football may be presented (that is texts and photos on the same subject).
The prizes are cameras, coupons that can be exchanged for books at El Corte Inglés and something that’s priceless: to come and enjoy a match at San Mamés as an accredited journalist. This year, the winners will go to the matches that Athletic will play at home against Real Sociedad, Levante and Málaga.
The Sports Photography and Narrative Contest is part of the work done by the Foundation to promote creative culture with regards to football, in this case aimed towards the youngsters. In last year’s edition more than two hundred works were received. Six won, three in each category, all of who enjoyed a match day at San Mamés, where they took photos and wrote texts (later published by El Correo), spoke with the Athletic players in the pressroom and were even welcomed by the President of Athletic Club in the presidential box.
