For the third year running, Athletic Club and the Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation, in compliance with their policy concerning corporate social responsibility, have decided to join the initiative “The Earth Hour”, led by WWF. Therefore, next Saturday, 26 March, the lights at Ibaigane Palace, Athletic Club and the Foundation’s Head office, will be turned off from 20:30 to 21:30 hours, in a symbolic gesture with the aim of making citizens aware of the common problem that is global warming.

This WWF initiative is the biggest environmental campaign in history, in which 1,000 million people will take part. The Earth Hour involves governments, citizens and companies in a joint action to attract attention concerning the effects of global warming and to demand action from political leaders to control CO2 emissions.

Athletic Club and the Foundation, finally, would like to encourage all its fans to join them in this symbolic gesture, as well as to be aware of this problem that affects all of us likewise.
