The Lezama sports centre, where the premier team’s training headquarters and our young players’ football academy are located, is the heart of Athletic. In 2011 it’s been 40 years since its inauguration, which is why apart from the book ‘Lezama the heart of Athletic’, an exhibition has been organized. The Athletic Club Museum is putting on a display of never seen before images, such as the habitual activities in Lezama before and now during this period, by way of a light box.
It’s not just a systematic review of the daily activities carried out in Lezama during this period: teams, coaches, training session, matches… as though it were simply a photo album.
The exhibition includes hundreds of photos and film images including a scale model of the ‘Lezama XXI’ project presented to the media on 26 May.
