The Athletic Club Foundation, in collaboration with the Regional Library, presents the fourth edition of the cycle ‘Literature and Football’, an already classic appointment in which Literature and football go hand in hand.

This year’s edition is composed of four encounters that will take place on 7, 14, 21 and 28 February at the Regional Library (C/Diputación 7, Bilbao) at 19:00h. Present at these sessions will be the writers Hernán Casciari, Enric González, Edorta Jiménez, Andoni Egaña, Lutxo Jiménez, Elena Medel and Manuel Vilas, as well as representatives from the publishing houses Los Libros del KO (Emilio Sanchez Mediavilla), Contra Ediciones (Eduard Sancho) and Revista Panenka (Aitor Lagunas).

Both the round tables as the conferences will begin at 19:00 and will open and free to the general public. We would, however, like to remind those attending that access to the library requires ID card (DNI).

The ‘Literature and Football’ cycle is framed within a set of activities in the cultural scope related to sport and football that the Athletic Club Foundation programs every year. These have a common thread of trying to harness the cultural weave of our society by attracting the typical public of sporting events to cultural activities with sports and football related themes, while maintaining the quality of the contents, that result interesting and formative to them. This way, the objective is to draw followers to the world of cultural reflection by showing them the different ways they can live their passion for football, as well as reflecting on the social, cultural and sentimental dimension of Athletic Club.

The Literature and Football cycle counts on the wholehearted support of Hotel Carlton.
