Second kit will be black and dark gray

The second kit for the 2015/16 season is now available. A new jersey designed by Nike, black and gray, that, on this occasion also winks at our history by appealing to the spirit of our first jersey which is also divided in two halves, blue and white in that case.

The second kit will go on sale as of 23 July at our official stores, on our website (www.athletic-club.eus ) or through our phone sales line 902 540 900 as wells as on Nike’s website, www.NIKE.com.

The second kit jersey is divided in two halves and two tones, black and dark gray are evident, which mark the return to the traditional dark aspect of the club’s second kit. Another characteristic of the design is that the jersey alternates different colours on the sleeves and the shoulders: dark gray upon the black half, and black upon dark the gray half.

The jersey presents a discreet and modern round neck with a black and red trim on the back side, identical to that which encircles both sleeve ends.

We can also see a red stripe on both sides of the jersey, located on the same position as that of the black stripe on the sides of the red shorts of the away kit.
Just as in the 2015-16 home jersey, we can appreciate a small ikurriña on the back side of the collar.

The new second-kit socks are red with a black band on the upper part, and a tonal stripe on the back side of the calf.

Besides proudly representing the characteristics of the club, this new kit also offers players the latest Nike innovations as far as performance, textile technology, moisture control and environmental sustainability.

NIKE DRI-FIT TECHNOLOGY

Nike Dri-Fit technology absorbs sweat and transfers it to the exterior of the jerseys and shorts, where it quickly evaporates. It allows players to perform at their maximum, since they remain cool, dry and comfortable.

The laser-cut ventilation zones and mesh panels, located in strategically important points of the garments, are designed to improve performance, since they allow increased air circulation on the player’s body and helps to better regulate body temperature.

The sleeves and front part of the jersey are made with a resistant yet light fabric, whereas the mesh panel located on the back improves air circulation and facilitates movement.

SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION

Thanks to the use of recycled polyester, which offers matchless performance and less environmental impact, Nike achieves its objective of obtaining sustainable innovation in the manufacture of its garments.

Each one of articles of the kit – the jersey, shorts and socks – is made with recycled polyester, obtained from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to acquire the fine thread used to create the fabric.
