Nekane finishes off Namibia Selection

So much the Namibia Selection as the Athletic Club Women’s team was classified for the semi-finals before disputing today’s match. The encounter began with dominion by Joseba Agirre’s team that had the first occasion in a pass by Oroz to Ainhoa Vicente but that Kauzuu stopped. The players from Namibia posed an extremely hard match. From a lost ball by Andrea came an occasion for the Africans. Once again, the African goalie prevented an Athletic Club goal from a free kick finished off by Irene.

After the break, the two clearer goal attempts were for the rojiblancas: a shot by Erika that went high; and a shot-on-goal by Nekane that ended up on the crossbar. It was a warning from the rojiblanca that, in the final moments of the match, in a play that started off from the left wing between Ibarra and Eunate, they relied on J. Flaviano but Eunate was unable to reach the cross into the area and Nekane scored the victory goal for the rojiblancas.

The rojiblancas will dispute the semi-final tomorrow. Their rival will come from the match between Valencia CF and RCD Espanyol to be disputed at 19:45. The team that loses will be the rojiblancas’ opponent tomorrow.
