Antton Zubikarai, our anthem’s author, passed away

Antton Zubikarai, author of the lyrics to the Athletic Club anthem passed away today, 1 October 2015. Athletic Club wishes to extend its most sincere condolences to family and friends at this difficult time; may he rest in peace.

Official Athletic Club anthem since March 1983, it gathers the first notes of the Alirón, and those of the ‘pasacalles’ or street band Aupa Gaztiak; both melodies related to the history of the Club.
