Last minute defeat

UD Almería 3 Bilbao Athletic 2

Bilbao Athletic has been defeated by UD Almería (3-2) in the match played at Juegos del Mediterraneo stadium. Guarrotxena and Iriondo were the scorers of our goals. The local team scorers were Pozo, Quique and Kalu Uche.

It has been a leveled match, a draw would have been a fair result but the inexperience of our players allowed the local team to win the match. Almería scored the opening with a shot from distance by Pozo, but the header by Guarrotxena could put Bilbao Athletic back in the game before the half-time interval.

However, as soon as the second half was underway, Almería scored the second but Urtzi Iriondo leveled the second with an amazing goal.

Unfortunately, just in the stoppage time, Uche scored the third for the hosts.

It won’t be easy but now is time to focus on the next Monday’s match against the leader of the table, Leganés.
