Pedro Aurtenetxe passed away

The ex-president of Athletic Club, Pedro Aurtenetxe, passed away today, 13th of July of 2016. He was Athletic Club’s president between the years 1982 and 1990. Before being in the presidency, he was the directive of the club with Jesús María Duñabeitia.

During his years as president, Athletic Club got his latest two League titles (1982-83 and 1983-83) and Cup (1983-84) and Supercup 1984-85. Our players will be donning the mourning arm brand and there will be a moment of silence in the first match of league played at San Mamés.
