Encouragement for Alex Txikon

The first men’s and women’s Athletic Club squads wanted to give their encouragement to the Bizkaia mountaineer Alex Txikon this morning, immersed in the attempt to climb the K-2 without oxygen.

In a brief meeting in Lezama, members of the male and female teams, represented by Ainhoa Tirapu and Markel Susaeta, have given Eneko Garamendi, who will shortly leave to Nepal, two shirts dedicated to the expedition.

The President Aitor Elizegi was present with several members of his Board of Directors, accompanied by Jose Ángel Iribar, Manolo Delgado, Rafa Alkorta, Andoni Ayarza and the technical staff of both teams.
