Intense weekend for the Peñas in Valencia

Coinciding with the match that Athletic Club will play this Sunday in Mestalla against Valencia, there are several and interesting events planned by our Peñas in the Community of Valencia.

The weekend begins this Saturday in Novelda with the inauguration of the Athletic Club Peña in Alicante. A province that continues to beat its red-and-white heart. There are a total of 1,200 peñistas registered in the nearly 20 active associations throughout Alicante.

At 6:30 p.m. will begin the official inauguration. First of all, the rest of the peñas, members and followers of Athletic Club will be welcomed. The event will finish with the traditional fraternization dinner at 9.00 p.m. attended by a wide representation of the Club headed by the president Aitor Elizegi.

On Sunday it will be the turn of the Peñas in capital Valencia. Gainza de Mislata, Athletic Club David López, Athletic Club de Mislata and Txapela Medio Lao and Cruz Cubierta together with the Mediterranean Federation will organize a twinning between the peñas and red-and-white sympathizers.

At 10.30 a.m. a popular lunch at the venue of Peña Txapela Medio Lao will take place, prior to going to the City Council Square to live in situ the mascletà shot by the Pyrotechics Alpujarreña at 2.00 pm. Later on, Peña David Lopez will serve some snacks at their venue before heading to Mestalla where they will greet the team at their exit from the hotel. From midday, the president Aitor Elizegi and the rest of the red-and-white delegation will be in the Peña Txapela Medio Lao until the time for the official lunch with Valencia CF arrives.
