Athletic Club will make a special presentation of this year’s One Club Man Award in Glasgow.

Athletic Club will make a special presentation of this year’s One Club Man Award in Glasgow. A red-and-white delegation headed by José Ángel Iribar and the directiveAitor Bernardo will be this Wednesday with the family of Billy McNeill and representatives of the Celtic.

The president of the Scottish club, Ian Bankler, wanted to publicly thank the decision of the Athletic Club to award Billy McNeill with the One Man Club Award this year: “This recognition is a fantastic prize for Billy, an imposing figure in the history of our club. I am delighted that his unwavering commitment to Celtic has been recognised by Athletic Club and we congratulate Billy and his entire family on this great achievement”.

Celtic’s CEO Peter Lawwell also wanted to congratulate Athletic Club on their decision: “Billy is a well-deserved winner of this prestigious award. I would like to thank Athletic Club for honoring Billy in this way, it is a tremendous gesture that is very much appreciated. Our historic captain has been elected, it is fantastic that Billy McNeill’s contribution as One Club Man at Celtic has been recognised in this way”.
