When the lathe giving access to the Athletic Club Museoa sounded an alarm siren, Monica Villate, a Colombian living in Paris, could not imagine the surprise that awaited her. She had become the 150,000th visitor since the inauguration of the new San Mamés museum in September 2017 and, to celebrate the milestone, the Club had decided to reward the lucky visitor with a pleasant and unexpected encounter, as shown in the attached video.
Coincidentally, this commemoration of the 150,000th visitor coincides with the celebration of the International Museum Day this coming Saturday 18th, being the Athletic Club the third most visited in Biscay. And by coincidence also, it was Monica Villate’s birthday the day before. What a surprise she got as a present!
