

The striker will continue one more season in the red-and-white club, until the 30th of June 2020, after having signed this morning in San Mamés with the president, Aitor Elizegi. Aritz Aduriz, whose contract has no termination clause, will face his twelfth campaign as a member of Athletic Club’s first squad and the eighth in a row since his return in 2012-13.
Athletic Club’s sixth all-time leading scorer (171 goals), just behind Iraragorri (179), Gorostiza (196), Dani (199), Bata (208) and Zarra (335); Aritz Aduriz faces the challenge of extending his red-and-white legend.
To date, the striker has completed eleven seasons at Athletic Club in three different stages, in which he has played 390 games. He was one of the members of the team that won the 2015-16 Super Cup, in whose final he scored four goals against FC Barcelona. In addition, he has played as a lion five times in the Europe League (he is the oldest top scorer in one of its editions) and once in the Champions League.
Aduriz will offer this afternoon a press conference at 4:00pm in the press room Jose Iragorri of San Mamés.
