Garazi Murua, María Díaz Cirauqui and Leia Zarate renew with Athletic Club

Athletic Club has extended for one year the contract of Leia Zarate, two of Cirauqui and three of the defender Garazi Murua.

The defense from Getxo Garazi Murua extends three more seasons its sporting relationship with Athletic Club, until the end of 2021/22. The center returned to Lezama after playing the 2014/15 season with the U.S. team of East Tennessee State University, and since then has played five campaigns in the first team red-and-white, playing 121 matches, scoring two goals, and achieving for his awards of the 2015/16 season Liga.

The attacking midfielder María Díaz Cirauqui will continue two more seasons with Athletic Club until 2020/21. She arrived at Lezama two seasons ago, in which she has played a total of 49 official matches, and has scored two goals.

Finally, Leia Zarate will continue one more season in Athletic Club’s attacking line, extending her contract until the 2019/20 campaign. Despite her youth, Lezama’s striker will complete her fifth season wearing the red and white shirt, with which she has already played 71 matches and scored 5 goals.
