The Athletic Club centre is part of the list of state coach, Robert Moreno, for the Euro 2020 qualifying matches against Romania and the Faroe Islands.
At 22, Unai Núñez has been summoned for the first time to an official match of the Spanish national team. The Athletic Club central defender has been called up by coach Robert Moreno for the two Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania and the Faroe Islands, respectively, on 5 and 8 September.
The player from Portugalete, who joined the Lezama youth academy at the age of 10, already won the European U-21 Championship last summer. The matches against Romania and the Faroe Islands will take place in Bucharest and Gijón respectively.
