The prestigious National Honor Division category kicks off this weekend. Group II of the highest division of youth football at state level has, as every season, a list of distinguished clubs -Real Sociedad, SD Eibar, Deportivo Alavés or CA Osasuna among the current elite- that give it a very high level of demand. Athletic Club’s A Youth team, directed by Imanol de la Sota, will officially make its debut in the 2019-20 season by visiting UD Mutilvera on Sunday in the Navarre town of Mutilva (6:00 p.m.).
The preseason has left a very positive result for our team, which in its eleven friendly matches has remained undefeated with a balance of eight wins and three draws, 26 goals in favor and 8 against. In addition, during this summer has won the tournaments Villa de Laredo and Noble Villa de Portugalete.
On the other hand, Junior B will start the league competition in Group IV of the National Junior League by receiving SD Deusto on field number 5 of the Lezama facilities (Saturday, 12.15 pm.). With only one accumulated defeat in the entire preseason, two draws and five victories, 23 goals for and 6 against, the team coached by Jon Solaun recently won the I Juan Oncala Memorial held in Almeria.
